Ever wondered how Cleopatra did it in the good ol' days?
It is so simple to make sugar wax and wax at the privacy of your own space. All it takes are sugar, lemon juice, tiny bit of water and loads of patience.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice never from a concentrate
1/4 cup water
2 cups sugar
Materials:
Heavy bottom pan
Wooden spoon
Container
Put all ingredients in the pan. Turn on stove to medium heat, keep on stirring for 4-5 minutes. Watch it carefully as it boils, when the mixture turns caramel brown, turn the heat off and set it aside. Handle with extreme caution as the product is very hot and can cause burns. Transfer it to the prepared container. It will take about 2 hours for the finish product to cool down.
How to wax
Materials
Baby powder
Spatula
Homemade sugar wax
You will get better results if you have buffed and scrubbed ahead of time. Do not apply any oil, lotion or deodorant on the skin.

With the use of a spatula, get the desired amount of sugar wax, stretch it by hand until color turns to buttery caramel. Now, it ready to use. Prep the area by dusting baby powder on the skin. This is to “dry out” the skin and to remove any oil that will interfere with the waxing procedure. Start with a small area, spread wax opposite to the direction of hair growth, pat it to make sure that hair clings to the wax. Make a flap and use this to grab and pull the wax. Before pulling wax, make the skin tight, pull wax horizontally and not upwards. If you see more hair, wax again however, avoid waxing same area for more than 2 times as will do more harm than good.
After care
To remove excess wax, wipe area with a warm wet towel; avoid taking baths right after waxing session since pores are open and prone to infection. Slather some Aloe Vera gel and hold off lotion, oils and deodorant for the next 24 hours.
